Water Quality: Will require a water temperature of 22°C - 28°C and a pH of 6.0 - 8.0.

Compatability: Cherry Barbs are very peaceful and should be put with fish that share that nature. This means fish like Tetras, Celestial Pearl Danios, and Glass Catfish will make perfect mates for barbs. This peaceful nature extends to shrimp and other invertebrates.

Diet: As a Omnivorus species a mixed diet including meat based and vegitable matter for optimal nutrition. You can get food with these ingredients such as flake, small pellet, wafer mix and frozen or live food.

It’s important to keep Cherry Barbs in a group to prevent them from going into hiding and being really shy. The Cherry Barb is native to Sri Lanka, and introduced populations have become established in Mexico and Colombia.
