Latin name: Moenkhausia Costae
Water Quality:Water temperature will need to be 22º - 26º with a water pH between 6.0 - 7.5
Compatability: Schooling fish so best kept in groups of at least six. Can be kept In a community aquarium but avoid slow moving species with long fins as they can be nippy at times.
Diet:Omnivorous so a mixed diet of high quality dry, frozen and live food is recommended for optimal health and coloration.
Orinates from South America: Sao Francisco and Itapicuru rivers.
The koi Angel fish is indigenous to Northern South America and would thrive in a planted aquarium with a gentle water flow.
